Snoring is a common problem that affects a huge number of people. It is embarrassing and disturbing at night, and the most common place where snoring takes place is in bed. In bed, snoring happens when the lower jaw comes out of position, allowing the tongue to vibrate against the roof of the mouth, producing the sound of snoring. Usually, people will become aware of the problem only after an episode of snoring occurs, and they know they should be taking measures to stop snoring.

Snoring can be heard quite clearly, even though it is relatively low-pitched and so can mask a louder and more unpleasant noise such as the thud of a falling pillow. The main cause of snoring is the position of the jaw. People who sleep on their back usually snore because the tongue falls out of position and presses against the roof of the mouth, causing the vibration of snoring. Also, if you sleep on your side, your neck is likely to be pulled to one side, causing the airway to constrict and snoring to occur.

There are several reasons why people snore, which may all come together at the same time. In many cases, snoring is triggered by nasal congestion, which can be caused by chronic sinusitis or other illnesses, or from allergies. The purpose of a humidifier is to help alleviate nasal congestion, but it’s not always effective in tackling snoring.

For example, if the person is sleeping on his or her side, the airway is likely to be less constricted than if the person sleeps on his or her back.

Snoring is also not caused by the way you sleep at night. Studies have shown that people who snore usually sleep in positions that increase snoring, such as lying on their backs, sleeping on their sides, and so on. This is because snoring can happen for different reasons, such as being overweight, or being in a hot room, or even having a cold.

There are many factors that can cause snoring, and most of them can be successfully treated, if not cured. If you are currently suffering from snoring, there are many solutions available, depending on the underlying cause of the snoring.
